Moret is a Cuban immigrant that reached the United States through the Mexican border during the surge of Cuban arrivals early this century. He was subject to removal proceedings and appeared before an Immigration Judge in Newark, New Jersey where he claimed immigration relief under the Cuban Adjustment Act. From his personal experience Moret knows the intricacies of the immigration laws and the complexity of the removal/deportation proceedings. Likewise, he can personally testify about the hardship and suffering while traveling alongside the hemisphere towards North looking for a better life. Dr. Moret knows firsthand the pain of having the family across the sea.

His first “job” in the United States was as a volunteer at the Immigration Law Center of the International Institute of New Jersey and from there he gained a position as Immigration Specialist. In a few months, Dr. Moret was certified as Board of Immigration Appeals Representative (BIA) where he represented clients before both, the Department of Homeland Security and the Immigration Courts. Additionally, he was later designated as the Director of that Immigration Law Center. Dr. Moret has assisted clients to solve their immigration matters in other prestigious organizations and law firms within Northern New Jersey and practices as Of Counsel within the area.
